It seems the jobs market is as competitive as ever as a Tesco Express store in Reading received 200 application forms for just 18 job vacancies. The positions were advertised on a local notice board as part of a small scale recruitment drive. However, there was nothing small scale about the number of applicants, desperate to secure a position with the UK’s number one retailer.
The Tesco job vacancies, which ranged from junior to senior manager level, full time to part time, have now all been filled. Applications came from a wide variety of applicants, in terms of both ages, skills and previous experience.
