Jobs in Retail Industry Still Available Despite Recession

by admin on July 24, 2009

If you are looking for a new job, then avoid the manufacturing industry and turn your attentions to the retail sector.

Despite the current economic downturn, the retail industry is showing signs of a recovery and the latest figures from the sector show that some major retailers are doing better than forecast. A current look at the retail sales jobs industry shows that vacancies are still out there if job hunters search hard enough.

Sainsbury’s, for example, has recently reported impressive increases in sales turnover for Q3 of 2009 and will create 4000 new jobs as it expands its stores over the next twelve months.

The retail sector is now the number one sector for new job postings on Internet recruitment sites, so the clever job seeker needs to look in the direction of retail if they are to have any success in finding their next job
