Job Vacancies delivered straight to your Mobile Phone

by admin on March 12, 2010

Job Centre Plus, the government’s employment agency, has developed an app compatible with the iPhone and Google’s Android handsets that will help job seekers get back to work. The app will be simple to use and just like an online job search users will be able to search by keyword, location and salary. Those lucky enough to own an iPhone or Android will be first to know of new vacancies, as the agency plans to “push” each new position to applicants in specific areas. The aim is to develop this app in the future to work on all smartphones.

The government has also unveiled plans to open a further 50 job centres across the UK. They will offer state of the art I.T. facilities where users will be able to search the internet for jobs vacancies, type up their CV and benefit from careers guidance.
