A UK bakery firm, Hayden’s Bakeries, has today revealed plans to expand its premises in Wiltshire, a move that will create around one hundred and fifty new jobs in the area. This welcome employment boost is all thanks to a rise in demand from leading food retailer Marks & Spencer. The chain buys bakery produce from the firm and demand for the items offered has been steadily increasing, to around 30% more than two years ago.
The new job vacancies will be open for application in a variety of factory wide positions, from office administration, IT and food preparation. The bakery is also growing in other sectors of the food market, including a premium chilled desert range, ideally suited to retailers such as M&S and Waitrose.
