Aldi & Lidl Grow Market Share

Budget supermarket chains Aldi and Lidl have both recently seen increases in market share as money savvy shoppers reign in their spend on groceries.

Aldi’s market share now stands at 3.1% and Lidl is just a little further behind at 2.4%. Expansion is on the cards for both retailers, with planning applications submitted for a number of stores throughout the UK and growth looks set to continue as shoppers tighten their purse strings.

Both Aldi and Lidl are respected employers, with each having a great reputation for their management training schemes and financial remuneration packages. Lidl jobs vacancies are increasingly oversubscribed, especially in the graduate sector with University leavers looking to get a solid foot hold in the retail management sector.
